Dear Parents and Carers,
We are excited to have organised a Year 2 and Key Stage 2 trip to the theatre to see ‘Peter Pan’ at the Birmingham Repertory theatre. This much-loved children’s production is bursting with imagination and a sprinkling of fairy dust.
The date for this trip is Thursday 7th January. The children will travel by coach to and from the theatre in Birmingham. The show commences at 10.15am. We will therefore leave school at 8.45am prompt. The school doors will be open from 8.30am for children to come in to register. Children will need to wear their Maidensbridge school uniform and bring a drink and a snack to the theatre for the interval. No sweets, popcorn or fizzy drinks please.
We will arrive back at school at approximately 1.30pm. As this is outside of normal lunch time, there will not be any hot dinners available. Therefore, you may either send your child into school with a packed lunch to eat on their return or if your child is in year 2 or in KS2 and entitled to free school meals, you may pre-order your child a grab bag (a form will be sent out on a later date).
Maidensbridge and our HSA have kindly contributed £1350 towards the cost of transport and the theatre admission. To help towards covering the remaining trip costs, a voluntary contribution of £22 per child is required, which can be split into two instalments.
The instalment payment dates, which can be made via Arbor, are as follows:
£11.00 by Monday 16th November
£11.00 by Monday 7th December
You are able to make a full payment, if you prefer this to the two instalments, please make your first payment by Monday 16th November to confirm your child will be attending and to enable us to finalise numbers. If you have any questions, please call the school office.
**Please note, we rely on voluntary contributions to fund this trip. If insufficient contributions are received the trip will not be able to go ahead**.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. G Morgan
Deputy Headteacher
