Mr Matthew Jones - Co-opted Governor

I was elected as a Co-opted community governor, commencing in September 2015. My current responsibilities are monitoring the curriculum and pupil’s attainment for pupils in receipt of pupil premium. As part of my employment, I also support the school in teaching religious education.

My attendance is good and being a governor is part of my desire to place a high value on the work of schools within the community. Education is critical to our growth, development & harmony within society as a whole and so supporting this is essential, as well as being a responsibility and a privilege. To date my career has included 15 years working in a professional commercial photography, 4 years self-employed in property maintenance and over 16 years working for New Life Church Wall Heath. Having a background in both industry and community, I believe brings an important dimension into the governor team. Ensuring that the school runs effectively providing a quality education but with an emphasis on enabling children to be vital and effective community members.
