Mrs Katie Thomas
I am very proud to say that I am the Headteacher of Maidensbridge Primary School and therefore a Governor of our school. I started as the Headteacher in April 2020, when the school and the country was in lockdown. This was a challenging start to Headship and Governance, but we all persevered, supported each other and faced the many challenges together.
I am a member of the Kingswinford and Wall Heath community, my own children go to a local secondary school, and we have lived in this area for over 15 years.
I have been teaching for 21,years, mostly as a Key Stage 2 teacher and my passions are English and Special Educational Needs. I have taught in a range of different primary schools and have led many different areas of school improvement. I was also very proud to achieve my National Award of Special Educational Needs.
As the Headteacher, it is my responsibility to update the Governors in all areas of school improvement, curriculum and resources and finance. The Maidensbridge Governors are committed to offering challenge and support to myself as the Head, to ensure we all get the very best outcomes for our children.
